James Lund is an award-winning freelance writer and editor who enjoys helping authors develop their voice and message. He is a veteran of Christian publishing who has worked with bestselling authors such as George Foreman, Kathy Ireland, Dr. James & Shirley Dobson, Dennis & Barbara Rainey, Jim Caviezel, Randy Alcorn, and Shaunti Feldhahn. Three of his projects have earned the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Gold Medallion Award.
Jim frequently serves as a writing collaborator and has experience with many book styles and formats, including biography, story driven, devotional, fiction, and straightforward teaching. He has a strong interest in books that focus on adventure, risk, marriage, parenting, prayer, sports, music, and contemporary issues. He is a former writer/editor for Multnomah Publishers, newspaper reporter and editor, and associate director of publications at Lewis & Clark College. He holds a journalism degree from the University of Oregon.
When he’s not at the computer, Jim enjoys music (he once played in the Eugene Symphony and in a classic rock band) and baseball (he currently plays in an adult baseball league in Central Oregon). He also loves to hike and explore the great outdoors. His favorite pastime, however, is hanging out with his family: his wife, Angela, and children, Erik, Sonja, and Peter.

Personal Life:
Resides in Colorado Springs, CO since 1991. Married 36 years to Sharon, no children. Born in Lawrence, Kansas and lived in the Los Angeles area for 25 years.
Schooling: Azusa Pacific University and Claremont College.
Professional Life:
Peb has most recently been serving with Saddleback Church/Purpose Driven Ministries as Vice President of Global Initiates pioneering work in Africa, especially Rwanda. Prior to this he was with Generous Giving where he served as Executive Vice President. Generous Giving is an initiative of the Maclellan Foundation and is located in Chattanooga; TN. Prior to this he was Senior Vice President of Public Affairs with Young Life in Colorado Springs, CO since 1994. In this capacity he was part of the executive cabinet and helped lead the overall development effort of the 60 year-old outreach program to junior and senior high school students. Previously, Jackson served as Senior Vice President for Focus on the Family, where he was responsible for Development, Public Policy Activities and International Expansion. He was a founding board member at Focus on the Family and worked there for 13 years. He went there from Spartan Oil Company where he was an executive and developed shopping center complexes and mobile home parks and also co-founded Guttenberg’s Bookstore Café. Prior to that he was President J.D. Bradley Company, a public relations firm in Southern California and formerly Director of Admissions and Financial Aid for Azusa Pacific University in South California.
Other Activities:
Actively worked in Washington DC during the Presidencies of Reagan and Bush including strategic involvement at the White House, Pentagon, Congress and various agencies in reference to family issues. Co-founder of the LEGACY Group, a public policy and cultural concerns organization for next generation leadership. Leads Bible Studies for men in his home on a weekly basis. Fostered and initiated hundreds of trips including strategic Washington briefings, international vision trips, and adventure trips of small groups in the Brooks Range in Alaska, Patagonia, Scotland, Ireland and the Seychelles as well as throughout North American.
